LOCAL MEN IN GOTHAM Big Delegation of Hamittonians at Present in the Metropolis. A New York dispatch iu yesterday's Inquirer sajs: The lively city of Hamilton has been most magnificently represented here his week. The wealth, good looks and ;hivalry of that town has made glad he Waldorf and Hoffman for many ^veilings past. Colonel Alex. Gordon, u ever-welcome visitor, came in from lurope, where he has been on a highly mportant mission for the great Niles, Tool works. Colonel Oordon has crossed he ocean five times since last Christ- nas, and in 10 days will return to ton- on and Berlin fur an all-summer stay. On his arrival this time be was met by Colonel Itobsrt C. JMc-Kiuney, Secretary of the Niles concern, and a political magnate of the Hamilton district. Colonel Joseph B. Hughes, another able Hamiltouian, came to tbe Hoffman, as did Mr. Will Beardsley. Fol- ow'.ng Colonel Hughes came Colonel Prank Whitaker and big Tom Eoyd, both of whom have served liutler county as treasurer and who have both had much to say about democratic politics in their neighborhoods since they tie- came voters. Colonel Whitaker is going abroad, and will spend part uf bis visit at Carlsbad Colonel Frank H. Kay, the confidential manager for Paul Sorg, joined bis Hamilton fvU'iuls a few days ago. Superintendent Cnllen. of the Niles company, added one more to the extensive Hiuutltou list.
