Hit-Run Driver Strikes, Kills Midway Girl Tribune Special HEBER, Wasatch County, July 26—An accident which Sheriff Eugene Eugene Payne of Wasatch county described as hit-and-run early Tuesday morning snuffed out ths life of Ruth Ann Johnson, 18, Mid- jCnlcred then followed the Bergand a!Johnson car out of the city and occupants pelted the Wasatch way. Police strengthened patrols in Wasatch mountain canyons in a search for the missing car. The young Wasatch county woman find Leo Berg, about 22, Heber, were passengers in a car which the sheriff said was scraped by another car and turned on its side two miles north of Heber, on U. S. highway 4Q. Sheriff Payne said that the two Wasatch county young people had been shooting off some Roman candles in the vicinity of Salt Lake City when some of the fireworlcs entered a 1936 model coach in which four people were riding.
