About twenty five or thirty prom mint railroad men from Chicago an other points in tbe northwest were en tertained today by the Nilea Toe worki. A number ot Cincinnati men wer also in the party. The ob.jeet their visit was to look around, and b olwerving the works in practical oper tion, obtain better ideas of tue varion methods employed. Being rallroa men, the party paid particular atten tion to tbe locomotive shop. The entire party were entertaine this morning by the directors of tl: works at a 7 o'clock breakfaBt, whic, was served by Caterer Stroble in th directors' privttlo room on the seeon floor of (lie Miles' ollico building After being shown about the ahoj by Messrs Cull™, McRinney, Hall an others of the directors, the party tco dinner in the private ottice. At n late hour this afternoon (h party left for Cincinnati, where the will dino tonight at the St. Nicholas being entertained while there, by th Qaeen City club. At nine o'clock th, party will return again to their homes At the N"iles Tool works today th members of the party expressed them selves in no light terms as being grantlj surprised at the magnitude of the plan and the enormous facilities of the vorks. Their surprise was unbounded at the immense scope of the Niles Too works, and they were unlimited ii heir expressions of astojiisliuient.
