Mrs. Fred Allen, who Is chairman of the music section, had charge of the program. Earl Hussoti;; and Mrs. C, E. Hlcc entertained with splendid vocal solos. Miss Lois Smith pleased the gathering with Iwo delightful solo dances. Refreshments of Icp cream and cake were served by four little girls dressed as Japanese, Jacqueline McCreedlc, Mary Belle Brown ami Kathleen Wuestcnfcld. Instructors from Community High, Washington, Wood River, Lincoln and Woodrow Wilson school in Hartford were present. There was a splendid attendance o! membership, a number of husband.i of the club members also being present Members of the executive board were the hostesses of the evening. The next meeting of the club will be hold on Oct. 12, nt 7:00 o'clock. Club 'members will please observe that this date Is on Friday Instead of Tuesday which Is the usual club night. Ilul owing to various details which were necessary the meeting which will be open to the publla and at which Dr William Nelson, St. Louis director and psychiatrist of the Psychiatric Clinic was able to be here and give the address of the evening. The meeting will be sponsored by the Educatlona section of which Mrs. a. A. Smith It the chairman. On October third, president's day will be held at Lebanon, III. Some ol the activities will be held at McKen- drco College which Is an old Institution of learning. The club which will have the largest representation of members at this meeting will receive a prize. The score to be taken according to the amount of membership of each club. Luncheon will be served at noon. Those desiring, to make reservation for the luncheon please call Mrs. K. E Mueller or send to Mrs. F. E. Behymer, Lebanon, 111., who Is chairman of reservations. A large delegation from the Wood River Woman's Club are planning to b« present. Mrs. E. E. Mueller and Mrs. M. F. Manning arc chairman of various departments in the district. Attended District Board Meeting Mrs. M. F. Manning, chairman of the Welfare and Social Service Committee of Women's clubs of this district attended a district board meeting which was held in East St. Louis at the Y. W. C. A. building yesterday.
