Death of Charles Dietz. The sad intelligence reached this city last evening that Mr. Charles Dietz, son of the late Philip Diete, died at his home in St. Paul Wednesday Wednesday morning. He had been ill for quite a long time and about ten days ago his relatives In this city were notified of the gravity of his condition. condition. His brother Sam and his mother mother left at once for St. Paul and were at his bedside at the time of his death. He had been a sufferer fora long time with Bright's disease and his friends in Alton have been expecting to hear of his death at any time. He was born in Alton and was forty-two years of age. Besides a wife and adopted daughter, daughter, Mr. Dietz leaves a large family of brothers and sisters in this city, and a large circle of friends who admired and respected him, to whom his death will be a deep affliction. Tho time of the funeral is not known but in all probability Interment will be at St. Paul. *
