SONS OF VETERANS BANftTJET. A Grand Gathering, a Jfine Spread, fine Speeches and Good Fellowship. Tke annual banquet of the Third con gressional district of Ohio, Sons of Veterans, Veterans, was held in the camp room of Col. Oscar Minor camp, No. 193, over Schwartz's<drug store, last night. The occasion was one of pleasure, and was greatly e-njoyed by those present. Before the banquet, the regular session session of the camp was held, at which three applications for membership were received, and much important business transacted. At 4:30 o'clock Capt. Ed Taber, of Col. Oscar Minor camp, called the brothers to order and then had them seated around a big table running almost the full length of the hall. Capt. Taber presided as toutmaster and after all was in readiness, Chaplain A. L. Beist, of Dayton, asked the divine blessing upon the assemblage. After a lunch of ham sandwltches, pork and beans, coffee, celery and cake had been served, cigars and California wine were passed around among the guests. Toastmaater Taber, after a few introductory introductory remarks in behalf of Col. Oscar Minor camp, Introduced P. O, Wilkinson, of Cincinnati, junior vice commander-ln-chlef of the Sons of Veterans, Veterans, who responded to the toast, "The Purposes ol tbe Sons of Veterans," The Sons of Veterans were organized to rer- petuate the Memory of those noble heroes heroes who fonght for the preservation of this great nation and for the glorious stars and stripes. The order In founded on loyalty to country and for the pur- pat* of keeping (run the graves of the fathers whose blood paid the price of a united country. Capt. Taker read letters of regret from Col.
