R. department encampment committee met last evening. H. L. Morey, Felix Pflanzer and Abram Miller the committee to secure a secretary to all the place made vacant by Captain Lane's resignation,recommended the appointment of Clarence Murphy as sscre tary at a compensation of $75, which appointment was confirmed. A G. A. R. poster announcing the encampment meeting was adopted. The rates of hotel fare during the encampment will he as follows: Large hotels, $3 per day; small hotels, $1.50 per day; boarding houses, II per day. Meals at hotels, 50 cents; meals at hoarding houses, 25 cents. The department hotel headquarters for the G. A. R. encampment and the W. K. C. will be at the St. Charles hotel. The department headquarters proper Will be in the court bouse assembly room. The department encampment will be held in the Globe opera house, and the W. R. C. will meet in the First Presiy terlan church. Clarence Mttrphy, the new secretary nat appointed a member of the ezecu live committee in place of W. J. Wint ers, resigned.
