BODY THROWN 90 FEET BY IMPACT Driver Held as Inquest Is Conducted; Wife, 4 Sons Survive Victim. DOWS, Jan. 5.—Struck while ho was getting his mail. Frank Kreit- 'low, 42, farmer who lived on a farm west of Dovvs and south of Gait, was hilled Friday night when he was struck by a truck. His body was thrown 90 feet by the impact. An inquest was conducted Saturday Saturday afternoon at Dows. Officers arrested arrested a man giving his name as 0. K. Hoot of Fort Dodge, a salesman, who was driving the truck ivhich hit Kreitlow. The accident occurred a mile south of Gait on highway 72, about a half mile from Kreitlow's house. It was claimed that Kreitlow was standing on the shoulder of the highway when he was hit. The body was brought to a local funeral home. Mr. Kreitlow is survived by his wife and four sons, Marion, 6, Loren, 13, Wallace 16. and Melvin, 19; his father and mother Mr and Mrs. William Kreitlow who ' live west of Dows; his brothers, Fred, residing west of Dows, and Wil- 3am at Forest City, and sisters, Mrs. George Peterson of Alden and Mrs. Hans Hanson of Dows.
