SID OWENS Funeral services for Sid Owens, Owens, 79, of 610 Dixie Drive, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Methodist Church in Elizabeth. Elizabeth. Burial will be in Elizabeth Memorial Cemetery under direction direction of the Ardoin Funeral Home of Oakdale. Hixson Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Owens, a retired sawmill worker, died Wednesday at his residence. He was a native of Meridian, Miss, and bad been a resident of Lake Charles for 10 years. ! He had lived in Elizabeth 30 years where he was employed by a lumber company. Survivors are his wife; seven l daughters, Mrs. J. H. Thomp- i son Sr. of Lake Charles, Mrs. i U. J. Jeter of Rome, Ga., Mrs. Myrtis Burkhardt of Houston, Tex., Mrs. J. F. Hryhorchuk of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Jimmy Colthran and Mrs. J. L. Hayes, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. R. R. Fell of San Antonio, Tex. Also, two sons, Lon Owens of Perla, Ark., and Wayne Owens of Houston; one brother, Nick Owens of Leland, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Arnaud of Jonesville. Mrs. Guy Gates of San Gabriel, Calif., and Mrs. Ludie Lundy of Willits, Calif.; 26 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. + * * of of of 4 of
