Beach City, has been a resident resident of the village since the age of 2 years when he moved with his parents, the late William and Sadie Agler from Strasburg where he was born. While attending the Beach City school, Agler became interested interested in laying bricks so he left school to learn the trade as a brick mason under thc guidance of Walter J. Weber of Canton. He became a mason in 1922. Agler was employed by Wendling Wendling Brothers Construction Co. of Dover for 4 years and, because of the steel shortage for construction construction work during World War II he secured employment at the Republic Steel Corp. in Canton from 1940 to 1946. After leaving the Canton firm he decided to work independently. He has done many construction jobs in the overseeing of bership.
