************************ Engineers' Wives Schedule Annual Christmas Party The Woman's Auxiliary to the Baytown Chapter, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, will have their annual Christmas party Dec. 11 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. O'Brien, the social committee announced at their November meeting in the home of Mrs. J. M. Hilliard. Mrs. A. R. Zubik, president, announced her resignation due to a family move to Baton Rouge, La. Mrs. J. S. Keating, vice president, will assume the president's duties. In other business, a scholarship for an engineering student in college was discussed with details to be determined. This will become a yearly project. Mrs. Jean Fuller of the Pin Cushion presented a program on home sewing which included the use of new fabrics and methods for a rewarding hobby. She pointed out the savings in cost as well as individuality, lingerie fabrics and patterns, which can be used by someone who is not an accomplished accomplished seamstress. Mrs. Fuller particularly noted the sweater bodies that can be easily sewn together and ruana, ponchos, harem pants and capes which require a minimum of sewing. At the October meeting members toured the Houston Heritage homes and had lunch at Sakowitz Sky Terrace. Sorority Schedules Installation Mrs. Charles Shafer Jr. of Kansas City, Mo. international international grand president of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, will be in Baytown at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to install the officers of the newly organized Baytown Alumnae chapter of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Mrs. J. A. Graves Jr., 5104 Glen Haven, will be hostess. All Gamma Phi Beta alumnae are invited to attend. attend.
