VIOLETTA J. STILES, 85, of Mill Creek, W.Va., died Friday, June 28,1991, at Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkin, W.Va. A daughter of Merle and Eleanor Jones Kinter, she was born March 1, 1906, in Barnesboro. Mrs. Stiles, who lived in Indiana County before moving to West Viriginia in 1976, was a member of the Barkley Wesleyan Methodist Church of Homer City and the United Methodist Missionary Society. She was a homemaker. Surviving are three sons: Harry R., Streetsboro, Ohio; James F., Cleveland, Ohio; Arthur D., La Porte, Texas; six daughters: Mrs. Leona Bodine, Vineland, N.J.; Mrs. Jessie Barrickman, Mill Creek; Mrs. Mildred Justice, Rock Creek, Ohio; Mrs. Albert (Charlotte) Phelps, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Alice Stutzman, Boswell; Mrs. Bill (Ellen) Clark, Lorain, Ohio; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; one brother, Edward Kinter, Homer City; and one sister, Alvada Kruchenbrod, Lilly. She was precded in death by her husband, Henry J. Stiles, in 1976; her parents; a son, Wayne; four grandchildren; three brothers: Grant, James and Larry Kinter; and four sisters: Dorothy Ober, Arvilia Gibson, Mary Ellen Noel and Mae Woods. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. David Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery, Alverda.
