Services Friday For Mrs. Batson Funeral services for Mrs. Kenneth Batson were conducted from the First Baptist Church of Hearne at 4 p. m. Friday, June 5, with the Rev. James Scirratt as the officiating minister. Interment followed in Norwood Cemetery with Heartfield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were Joe L. Wilson, John Wilson, Jimmy Carter, Ellis Kuehn Jr.. Claude Tindle Jr. and Steven iPursley. Milton Aalen, Dr. Ken Kennamer, Dr. Ray Cruse, Dr. Ji. M. Boyd, Dr. Lewis Varvel Jr. and Dr. R. W. Huddleston were named honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Batson succumbed in her sleep at her 'home in Hearne late -Wednesday night, Uune >3, She was 'born Judy Donnelly in Washington on January 4, 1921 and was 49 years, four months and 29 days of age when she passed away. The wife of the head coach at Hearne High School, Mrs. Batson had been associated with Medical and Surgical Clinic for the past few years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of Hearne, one daughter, Mrs. Janet Jones of Houston; four sons, Tim Batson of H;arne, Jim Batson of West Columbia, Bobby Batson and Billy Batson, students at the University of Texas; one granddaughter, a brother, William Donnelly of Virginia; and a sister, Mrs. Wayne Trimble, also of Virginia.
