Darwin Stanley Iverson Obituary
Rites Set for D. S. Iverson Darwin Stanley Iverson, 77, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1893, at Valley Springs, S.D., to Oliver and Christine Berg Iverson. He was educated in Palo Alto County Schools and was married Sept. 17, 1924, to Lillie Rambeth at Lotts Creek. He lived most of his life in Palo Alto and Emmet Counties where he was engaged in farming. He retired and moved to Ringsted in September, 1969. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ringsted. Survivors are his wife, Lillie; (Ethel) Swalve, Graettinger; Mrs. Dewey (Gladys) Enderson, Estherville; Mrs. Evelyn Brunsvold, Des Moines; Mrs. Norman (Wilma) Nielsen, Ringsted; six sons, Russell and Orville, Fairmont; Robert and Roger, Ringsted; Melvin, Armstrong; and Derwood, Marion; and 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and three brothers. The funeral for Iverson will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Ringsted with the Rev. Harold Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the Reese- Henry Funeral Home, Ringsted, from Friday noon until noon on Saturday.
