8 North Korean Intruders Dead SEOUL (AP) — South Korean mbush patrols shot and killed eight North Korean intruders riday night in two firefights long the demilitarized zone, South Korea announced today. A South Korean soldier was vounded in one of the engagements, the announcement said. The border incidents occurred during the early hours of the veek-long visit to South Korea of New Zealand Prime Minister teith Holyoake. The first firefight started when three Communist infiltra- ors, armed with submachine *uns and grenades, were spot;ed on the east-central front 70 miles northeast of Seoul, the announcement said. Holyoake tours there today. In a later clash, all five North Korean raiders encountered by , ambush patrols south of the DMZ were shot and killed, the announcement added.
