Clara L. Clapper Weds Eulan Kortge A pretty wedding took place at St. Jerome's rectory Saturday afternoon when Miss Clara Louise Clapper, daughter of Mrs. Agnes Clapper of Lansing, became the bride of Eulan Kortge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kortge of North Main street in Scottville. The couple was attended by Mrs. Ida iviay Kiengies of Flint, sister of the briat, as matron pi honor, and Corliss Kortge, brother of the bridegroom, as best man. Dean and Cieon Kortge, brothers of the bridegroom, served as ushers. The Rev. *r. Edward O'Hara read the service in the presence of a large group of. relatives and friends. For her wedding the bride wore a lovely gown of ivory silk, made The gown was made princess style and with it she wore a long veil. A string of pearls was her only ornament. She carried a white prayer book, decorated with a gardenia, and streamers I of white ribbon's in which were nt swee tpeas. I g. ~*"-« -a; « ^ ^L"eX with yellow daisies. and son and and in by 23. up ! Mrs. Fred Kortge, mother of the bridegroom, wore an aqua dress with hat to match and black accessories, and Mrs. Clap per wore dark blue with „ — and carnations. , ! a" corsage "of the same flowers. I Following the ceremony group I pictures, to be happy reminders of the event, were laken. From the rectory the group drove to the Kortge home where a reception was held. Tulips and lilacs were used about the rooms. The bride and bridegroom cut the first piece of wedding cake, which later was served by the bride's mother. Following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Kortge left for a wedding trip planning to visit the Upper Peninsula and Canada. They will return to Scottville, where they will spend some time. !
