Women Meet At Wood River - Club's Past Presidents Honored Past presidents of the Woot River Woman's Club were honored at the regular meeting Tuesday night, In the Wood River school Mrs. Karl Fulp, club president spoke of the contributions these women had made toward the growth and development of the club and community and closet her tribute with the reading Of the poem "Contented,"* written by Mrs. M. F. Manning, the first president of the club, who. was In attendance. Corsages were presented to Mrs Robert Chapman, retiring president of the 22nd district of Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs Mrs. W. F.' Coolldge, Granite City, and Mrs. B. M, Harrod, Wood River, former district presidents, Mrs. Coolldge reviewed the current novel, "Whistle, Daughter Whistle" by Herbert Best, and was preceded on the program by Walter Brockman of Wood River, who sang "Give a Man a Horse" by O'Hara, "For You Alone" and "On the Road to Mandalay." He was accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Kaye Shanahan of Alton. During a business meeting Mrs.
