G. D. Mohundro, East Alton, Dies G. D. Mohundro, Sr., 65, of East Alton, died al 4 a. m. today In Madtson Madtson County Sanltorlum, Edwardsville, Edwardsville, following a long illness. He had been a patient, in the sanitorl- um for the past, five years. Prevl- vlous to his Illness he had been employed employed for 10 years at Western Cartridge Co. A native of Bowling Green, Ky., he was born Jan. 14,1880 where he resided until manhood when he went to Mllburn, Ky., and engaged In farming. He was married December December 26, 1907 to Miss Mary Poole, and of this union six children survive. They are Mrs. Lawrence E. Murphy, Murphy, George D. Jr., Miss Mattle Belle, Mrs. John Bowers and Mrs. Lynn France, all of East Alton, and Ensign J. E. Mohundro, United Slates Navy, stationed in the South Pacific. He also' leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Mohundro, and three grandchildren. ' The body is at Streeper funeral home in Wood River where friends may call after 6 p. m. today and until 2 p. m. Sunday when brief •lies will be conducted by the Rev. William F. Bohn, pastor of East Alton Baptist Church, after which :he body will be sent to Mllburn, Ky., for rites in First Baptist hurch.
