Thanksgiving Programs Being Prepared ZOLA HARTNETT, Editor IRENE O'BRIEN, Associate Editor JEFFERSON SCHOOL—Thanksgiving programs are in preparation and plans to give baskets and food are under way throughout the school. The girls' club sewed arm bands for the Junior Red Cross members who will deliver the gifts, says Beverly Boysjolie.- They are making toys, too, for the babies and smaller children to add to the Thanksgiving baskets that are to be taken to the orphanage. Royene Hartnett tells us: Children in room 10 have made pictures of the Pilgrims and other Thanksgiving themes for use in decorating the classrooms. La Von Koew adds: The oral English classes are preparing their own Thanksgiving plays and will present them to each other on Wednesday. All must be original, though we use others to see how these should be written. Mignon Willard reports: The social science classes of Miss Fern Cox are learning the real reasons for Thanksgiving and why the Pilgrims were thankful.
