both reinstatement y w a y t h e y e i r g r i e v - e truant morning, in He Goulsby $75,000 antique roadster stolen While the Grand Prix roared into in downtown Ixing Beach Friday, somebody put the snatch on a £75,000 antique car that would probably have trouble getting to the starting gate. O w n e r P a u l A l b e r t Schinnerer told police his 1931 16-cylinder Cadillac convertible roadster had been stolen sometime that night b u t t h a t whoever took it would h a \ e a hassle starting it. Shinnerer. SI, who lists his occupation as car restorer, said he had parked the rare old beauty in his garage in the 700 block on West 23th Street, but had- n ' t l o c k e d t h e door because he had parked his own car directly in front of the building. A neighbor later told wife she had noticed a 40- loot van parked in front the Schinnerer house and a couple of men walking toward the back of the yard early In Ihe evening. Knowing he was an ant i q u e c a r d e thought nothing more of Ihe incident until the next d a y w h e n t h e turned up missing. Officer Keith Elkins of the auto t h e f t detail the car is one of only seven in the U.S. and best restored sample. Schinnerer told him the car is drivcable but it takes patience and know- how to start it.
