Ruth Bestor, resident since 1926, dies Miss Ruth Bestor. a retired teacher and resident of Hedlands since 192fi. died here yesterday at the age of Hfi Alter coming to Hedlands. Miss Hestor made her home on University Place until moving to Plymouth Village in 1%4 She was Imrn in Madison. Wisconsin. attended the University of Chicago for two years and earned H S. and ii A. degrees Innn Columbia University She taught demonstration classes in elementary education at both Columbia and at UCLA Her teaching career was in a public school in Kalamazoo. Mich., and in a private school (or privileged children in I>is Angeles. For several years Miss Bestor was supervisor of kindergarten and elementary work at Humboldt College. Areata Since coming to Hedlands. she has been an active mi'inlxT of the First Baptist church and has taught in its education program. She was at one time a member of the local A.A.l'.W. branch She leaves two nephews. Dr. Arthur lieslor. Jr.. a professor at the University of Washington, and Charles lieslor of Salem. Ore.: a niece. Mrs. Ambrose Cram, assistant to the dean of Linfield College. Mc.Mimivillc. Ore.: and a cousin. Robert Cushing of El Sohrante. Calif. Memorial services will be announced later by F.
