AT THE SODA FOUNTAIN. A Now Form of the Malignant Quick Lunch That 1* Attracting Attention. Something- like a new form of the malignant quick lunch, begins to attract attention. . It is a development of. the soda water, fountain. Soda, water long ago ceased, to be the most important drink dispensed at such fountains, and for some years nourishing liquid foods have been added until now, at : length,•. men... minded to make . their luncheons light, or to stay themselves . for the long interval between luncheon and a late dinner, find great comfort in the soda fountains. Clam juice was one of the nourishing' drinks earliest placed .upon the list of the soda fountain. Extract of beet in various forms has since tieen added, and various drinks that are reputed to be at.once foods and stimulants are also dispensed. Above all, eggs have come to play an important role at the soda fountain. A fresh rnvvej^, well- beaten,, is nourishing 1 , and .easily dl(jested.
