Thi Mobmons.' The poijgamlat ITawkins, whom wo mentioned last week as having been convicted of big-say, in Judgo MoKcan's Court, at . ' Salt Lake City, has been sentenced to pay a fine of 1500, and to be impris used at hard labor for thrco years. The sentence of Hawkins created less aeasation than was expected. In a eitU suit, Brigham Young has been ompcllod t to disgorgo about $3,000, keloaging to the estate of a prominent eleeeaaod Mormon, and which money the prophet had absorbed sometime ago. Wells, the Mormon mayor of Bait Lake, is also under bonds to tho aaount of 50,000, on a charge of having committed murder. TheMor-SODS do not blotter near as much as ntj did when the prosecutions were first oommencod. No resistance will ta made to the Unitod States authorities, from present indications.
