Dr. Gibbs also was actively interested in the Y.M.C.A., for 20 years and was its oldest director. He also was .Interested in the Home of Neighborly Service and was a past president of San Bernardino County Medical society. DAUGHTERS MISSIONARIES Two of Dr. Gibbs' daughters are engaged In missionary work, with their husbands, one In India and one in China. The latter, Mrs. Vera Young, sailed on Sept. 1 for China after being on furlough in America for several months. Surviving are his widow, Mrs Florine Owen Gibbs, of San Bernar dino; one son, Owen S. Gibbs of Oakland; three daughters, Mrs. El ma Wardrip of San Jose. Mrs. Le- lia Forbes of India and Mrs. Vera Young of China; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley D, Gibbs of Riverside and George E. Gibbs of Thermal; and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Balcomb of Palo Alto and Mrs. Nettie Gibbs Leeper of San Bernardino. Funeral services are pending ar rival of relatives from the north. Mark B.
