STRIKERS TO SOLICIT AID. Allege Intimidation on Part of Farley's Dstectives. Alleging intimidation and constant annoyance on the part of detectives hired by the company, the strikers of the Matheson Automobile company, near Wilkes - Barre, appealed to Mayor Klrkendall and Chief of Police Clifford yesterday morning for protection. They claim that the detectives are con stantly following them and making trouble. The men received the assur ance that the matter will be intrestl, gated. The company, it is said, is .steadily importing strike - breakers. Cots have been put up at the factory and general provisions have been made for the lodging of the men. - The trouble, it seems, is gaining larger proportions dally and an appeal has been made by the machinists to their chief office. One of, the big officials is on his way to Wilkes - Barre to settle the trouble.
