Fatal Accident Occurs in Game, of Ball at Palmyra Guy Ommert, of Harrisburg, Struck by Pitched Ball And Died an Hour Afterward—Death Resulted From Hemorrhage of the Brain Struck on the head by a pitched 6all during a game with the Palmyra team, Saturday afternoon, Guy \V. Ommert, .17 years old, 1114 I Green street, Harrlsburg, a catcher (for the Harris Park A. C., of that: city, was so seriously injured that I She died several hours later. A post mortem examination showed that jyoung Ommert's Bkull was only i about one-thirtf tho thickness of I that of an ordinary boy of his age .and*that death has resulted from a 'hemorrhage of the brain. Coroner Bckln^er made an Investigation and does not believe that an Inquest was necessary as the fa- tal blow received by Ommert was accidental. The official also stated that no charges will bo brought against the pitcher of the Palmyra team. STRUCK BY BALL The accident occurred In the third Inning of the game which was played at Palmyra, Ommert was at bat when the Palmyra twlrler threw a wild ball, which the Harrisburg player could not dodge.
