of Choice which gave me the nickname | of "Tugboat Jney." I feel that I am aware of the j needs of the Wade Hampton and Kotzebue areas because of my years in those locations. I taught school in the states of Illinois, Colorado, Idaho, Montana and Washington before before coming North, which gave me the varied knowledge of the constitutions of the five states. I retired as a teacher in Washington after teaching there through two World Wars. 11 Then, in 1949, we came Valdez. and bought property! there. My husband died three years ago, so I -am left with time necessary to fill such a job as that of Senator. First of all, I would insist that everyone wanting to buy property or go into business in Alaska be citizens either by birth or naturalization, for those who break most of the game laws and other laws are non-citizens. I also want the, natural resources in all Alaska Dushed to the productive stage. Mining, fishing, oil production production and power sites must be developed in all areas, as well as the one in which live. Cordova and Valdez need better fishing conditions as well as power development and increased mining. Gold prices for Alaska should go up to at least the same price given by foreign countries, allowing allowing mining in all sections to be resumed. If elected, I will do all in my power to be of service to all Alaska in its welfare and development. I will welcome any ideas or suggestions sent me.
