This plea conies from the. League of "Women Voters whose members today' are busy distributing 2,000 or more election broadsides in the downtown area on local and state issues. Nonpartisan in scope, the bulletins are designed to help the pu-blic "to meet the candidates.", Mrs. John Hildebrandt and members of the league's election committee interviewed local candidates and then .prepared a biographical sketch and a statement of their stand on the issues for the printed broadsides. Six thousand duplicates of the election guide, prepared by the league and which appears on this morning's editorial page of The Post-Standard, have been distributed by the league to church organizations and women's clubs. thru out the city Each year the league in co-operation with The.Post-Standard issues nonpartisan information to help citizens ' vote intelligently. Demands for the bulletins have grown-annually · and the league offices last night had numerous calls for additional copies of the bulletins, the original number of 5,000 copies being raised to 6,000. "This year we are voting into office men who will shape the future and it is imperative that we elect men who will make the kind of a nation'and world that we'want. Befdre we can do this we need to know how the candidates stand on the vital issues. That is why the league sponsors this public service. We. urge all citizens to study- our election guide," Mrs. A.
