Burkes Called To Washington By Kin's Death Funeral services will be held In Washington, D. C, tomorrow morning morning for Mrs. Irene (Collier) Brown, member of a former Mount Carmel family. Mrs. Brown, herself a former resident of Mount Carmel where, as a girl, she attended the School of Our Lady, died Wednesday at her home. 4325 Eighth street, Northwest, Washington, after having been in ill health since April. Her uncle and aunt, Wililam J. and Hannah Burke, of the Victoria Apartments here, were called to Washington yesterday without having been immediately notified of Mrs. Brown's death. A daughter of Mrs. Katherine A. Collier and the late Simon E. Collier, Collier, the deceased left Mount Carmel Carmel w;th her parents who moved to Washingfon in 1920. In February of 1925, she became the wife of Pierson P. Brown in St. Gabriel's Church, Washington. Her husband holds the rank of Commander Commander in the United States Naval Reserve. Other than her husband and her mother, the survivors include a sister, sister, Gertrude Collier, and a brother, Leo, two nephews, Robert Collier Irwin and William Burke Irwii and the uncle and aunt here. Following a requiem mass in St. Gabriel's Church tomorrow, burial will be made In Arlington cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
