Organization of Centennial group at Delbers house
Yoncalla Organizes Area Centennial Group By MRS. GEORGE EDES Conforming with other towns throughout the state of Oregon, Yoncalla has organized an area centennial association. Incorpora tion papers were recently signed by members of the association. A meeting at the home of May Dclbert Dickey was held. The new organization will be known as YACA. The officers were elected as follows: Chairman and director, Delbert Dickey; secretary, Mrs. Hugh Warner; treasurer, Mrs. Ben Metz: directors, Mrs. Ber- nice Kadtke. Eldon Lee, Donald Dick. Mrs. Jean Cowan. Lee Blick- enstaff and Paul Flurv. The new organization will meet the second Thursday evening of each month at the Dickey home at 8 p.m. Plans were made to have a chicken barbecue Sept. -7. with serving beginning at 1 p.m. It was voted to have the catermg service furnished by the organiza tion. There will be a speaker at 2 p.m. Mrs. Ben Metz is in charge of the program, and Mrs. Jean Cow an. Eldon Lee and Demeri LiicKey are on the food committee.
