LT. COLONEL ELTON E. HECTOR Urbandale Our loving father and grandfather passed away Wednesday evening May 4 ft nnr r n r j I a r it ms loving wife, Norma i Jane. 13 years aao and V-- V-- V-- Jk wil' nw be forever reunited. He will be missed by his son, Douglas Douglas and wife, Janet and their children, Colton, Kristin, and Lauren Hector who live in California; as well as his daughter, Debra and husband Clark and their children, children, Kevin, Ashlee, and Kyle Wicks of Perry, Iowa. Elton enlisted in the service during World War II and after the war ended he decided to make it a career. He enrolled in Officers Training School and became a pilot. The Air Force gave him and his family the opportunity to live around the world, from London, England to New Mexico, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Hawaii. Later in his career he became a command pilot and was promoted to a Director of Computer Operations at the Pentagon. He retired in 1971 to his Midwest Midwest roots where he spent his time restoring classic T-Birds T-Birds T-Birds and Mustang automobiles, antique furniture, and sharing sharing good times with his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at McLaren's Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Mercy Hospice in Johnston or the American Cancer Society. "EaN McLaren's Chapel at Resthaven Cemetery
