Rev. George J. Herber COLE CAMP - The Rev George J. Herber. 66. died Saturday at his home in Sunrise Beach. He was born in Russia. Sept. 23.1906. son of the late Jacob and Katherine Heber He married Ruth Mun.son on Aug. 15. 1932. and she survives of the home When he was six-months old, the Rev. Herber and his parents immigrated to the United States He attended Martin Luther Seminary in Lincoln, Neb., and was ordained as a minister in 1931. He served congregations in Nebraska before moving to Cole Camp in 1960 He was the pastor of the United Lutheran Church in Cole Camp until he retired in 1969 and moved to Sunrise Beach He was a member of the Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Walsh, Andover, Mass.; a brother, Jake Herber, Grimes, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Kate Sell, Amarillo, Tex.; Mrs. Louis Blau, Houston; Mrs Lauren Grace, Pampa, Tex.; Mrs. Gregory Schaut, Palo Alto, Calif .; and two grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kent Memorial Lutheran Church at Sunrise Beach with the Rev. Herbert John.son Jr., and the Rev Dr. Harvey Prinz officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Chapel in Cole Camp with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Cole Camp Memorial Cemetery.
