The obj ect of tue megLiug was oneny statea, ana uoi. Mallory and Dr. J. W. Griffith discussed the importance of the location of the road, and the necessity and nronrietv of makine the same. On motion. T)r Griffith, Marcus Speer, and Wm. Barnhill, were ajiviutcu a wuiwiucc iu select -iueciors -iueciors icr saia road for twelve months. The committee reported the following, viz : P. B. Wolfolk, M. Fiblo, W. D. Cassadv, Wm. Barnhill. Dr. J. W. Griffith. M. Speer, P. P. Boulware, and M. Demoss, all of which were unanimously elected by the company. un uiuuon, ine loiiowmg resolution was passed : Jtesolved, That said Directors be authorized to confer with the Directors ofthe Goose Creek road iri Jefferson county, at such time and place as they may designate.
