Two From Memphis Shot at in McNairy SELMER, Tenn. (AP)-A (AP)-A (AP)-A country-western country-western country-western television performer performer and a lounge owner, both from Memphis, were ambushed ambushed in their car on a Mc-Nairv Mc-Nairv Mc-Nairv Countv hiehwav late Friday night, Sheriff Clifford Coleman said. He said neither Eddie Bond, the performer, or Tommy Thompson, owner of the Western Western Lounge in Memphis, were injured. COLEMAN SAID a car being being driven by Bond was struck at least twice by large caliber bullets as it traveled along U.S. 45 near Guys, Tenn., in heavy rain. One slug went through a door and a second lok out a left rear window in Bond's luxury automobile, Coleman said, adding that both bullets have been recovered. Coleman said Bond and Thompson were in McNairy County in connection with the filming of "The Legend of Bu-ford Bu-ford Bu-ford Pusser," a second movie dealing with the exploits of the former McNairy County sheriff.
