for COUNTY FIREMEN HAVE MEETING AT WORMLEYSBURG More than 200 firemen from all sections of Cumberland county were entertained last night at a meeting of the Cumberland County Firemen's Association in Wormleysburg. Edward H. Eisenberger, is chief of the Wormleysburg Fire Department. After welcoming addresses" by Chief Eisenberger, J. J. Hemmer, president of the Wormleysburg Fire Company and Howard F. Morris, burgess, the firemen were entertained by a moving picture. William F. Traeger, State fire marshall, was the principal speaker, he explained activities of the fire marshall's department and said 25 per cent, fewer fires occurred in the State last year than in 1932. Carter Hollar Presides Following the address Carter Hoi lar, of Shippensburg, president of the associated, presided. Brief addresses were given by Millard M. Tawney, president of the State Firemen's Association, and former fire chief of Harris - burg; A. L. Patton, former assistant chief of Harrisburg and George W. Kennedy, president of the Southeastern Firemen's Association. Reports Fire Loss - Charles Woods, Mechanlcsburg, Cumberland county fire marshall, reported fifty - one fire alarms were sounded during January. Of the number thirty were chimney fires. Damage amounted to $2595. The Lower Allen Fire Company No. 1, of Lower Allen Township, was admitted to the association. The next meeting of the association will be held at the Mt. Holly Springs Fire Company house, March 8.
