Alma E. Mowry DENVER — Alma E. Mowry, 100, Denver, died Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at St. Anthony Hospital, Denver. Mrs. Mowry was born Alma E. Cressler on July 2, 1894, at Hoxie, Kan., and was a resident of Denver for two years, moving from Hoxie. She had been a clerk for a clothing store. She was a member of the Christian Church, Hoxie. Her first husband, James Ocobock, died in 1945, and her second husband, Lawrence Mowry, died in 1966. Survivors include a son, Delmer Ocobock of Albuquerque, N.M.; five daughters, Vera Oliver of Colorado Springs, Colo., Marine Fearing, Letha Giessinger and Nelda Russell, all of Denver, and Wilma Caudle of Albuquerque; a sister, Hazel Carper of Jennings, Kan.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mickey-Leopold Chapel, Hoxie, the Rev. Dick Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Hoxie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, 1024 Sheridan Ave., Hoxie, Kan. 67740.
