Kitchen Shower For Miss Parker A kitchen shower was given Friday evening, March 10 at 8 o'clock in the evening to honor Miss Shirley Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Parker, who is to become the bride of John Olson of Napa, Cal., Sunday, March 12, at the First Methodist church. The shower was given by Mrs. Oscar Olson and Mrs. Ar-vid Ar-vid Ar-vid Olson, at the Oscar Olson home in North Albany. Room decorations were arranged arranged by Mrs. Clifford Walker, aunt of the prospective bridegroom, and depicted a wedding scene with the bride and bridegroom motif, pink carnations, white snapdragons snapdragons and sprays of pir.k roses for a background for the archway under under which the miniature bride and bridegroom stood. Tulips, daffodils daffodils and forsythia were used about the rooms. Streamers radiating from the central hallway led to the guest of honor's gifts concealed about the rooms. Each gift was accompanied accompanied by a rhyme. Contests were staged during the evening by Misses Dorothy and Donna Olson. At the close of the evening a light lunch was served.
