" Victor-Bemont of St.-Louis, Mo.., 'nr- rived hare Sunday for a visit with his mother, Mrs. Alice Bement, -and his brother,'Keith Bement and family. Mr. Jas. A. Fenn, brother of 'Rev. ^eo.-Q. Fenn, and their cousin, Mrs. Nora Seevers,' spent most of last week and the week end visiting at the Gentry Methodist parsonage. Mr. Fenn has lived at Norman, Oklahoma for a number of years, but has sold out there, and is spending some time with his children and other relatives. Mrs. Seevers lives at Neosho, Mo. In 1903 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Mamie Ha'rgiss Coy. To this union .'were born two sons, Daniel Jehu of Jasper, Texas and Thad David of Enid, Oklahoma. This companion passed away Sept. 22, 1939. He leaves to cherish his memory beside, the above mentioned children, five sisters, Mrs. .Melissia Shields, Cortez, Colo; Mrs. Edna Deatherage; Ringold, Texas; Mrs. Mina Black, Cortez, Colo.; Mrs. Maggie Martin, Cortez, Colo., and Mrs. Doriece Aldridge, Aldridge, Wewoka, Oklahoma; one brother, Lovell H. Chastain, Cortez, Colo.; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He had just rounded, out 50 years as watchmaker, jewelry manufactor- er, goldsmith and engraver. His friends were numbered by his acquaintances. acquaintances. CHASTAIN Pleasant Dennis Chastain was born March 23rd, 1874; departed this life July 27, 1944 at the age of 70 yearb; 4 months and 4 days old. He attended school i n the old log- school house at Fail-mount near'Gen" try. was converted at an early age and .united with the Baptist Church at Springtown. He moved his membership membership *to McAlister, Qkl a . ; i ater moved his membership back to Springtown Springtown where he was a member at the time -of his passing. He. became a member of -the Masonic Masonic Lodge at Gentry "in .1907 where he held membership'until the time of his passing.
