Myrtle Lillian Peebles PITTSBURG Myrtle Lillian Peebles, 95, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, with the Rev. Howard McDannel officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Peebles was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Marian Marian Church in Creal Springs. She was born Dec. 19, 1901, in Pittsburg to Quincy Caswell and Clemintine Sanders Sims. She married Dewey Peebles. He died Dec. 2, 1967. Survivors include two sons, Eugene Eugene Peebles of Carbondale and Lo- Lo- rin "Spider" Peebles of Lake of Egypt; seven grandchildren, Jo Ann Peebles Violett and husband, Keith, of Pittsburg, Douglas L. Peebles and wife, Lisa, of Marion, Michael L. Peebles and wife, Mary, of Lexington, Lexington, Ky., Janis L. Peebles Johnson of Denver, James H. Peebles and wife, Barbara, of Long Beach, Calif., Eugene Eugene "Gene" Peebles of Palm Springs, Calif., and Rhonda A. Murman Murman ImhofT and husband, John, of Johnston City; and 13 great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren.
