Irving’s WWI Vets conduct active chapter Twelve years ago this fall a large group of World War I Veterans met at the old Community Community House here and organized organized the original and only local Barracks of the Veterans of World War I, Inc. Many of the charter mem- bers have answered the last ron call. A few have moved of away. Among those early members who are still active 34 are Qeo. B. Nicholas, Frank Weeks, Flaut Kelly, Jeff Han- soni Jimmy W. Tevis. The deceased members in- elude such well known names as ^ Moxham, Dick Hat- Mike Woods, the Range brothers, Carl and Clarence — of more active program in 1970. Both organizations meet the first Sunday afternoon of each month at the I.O.O.F hall. all well known in early Irving days. In 1959 the auxiliary was organized organized by two of the present active members, Edna Nichols I ■ Irvino, Texas *75060 and Marcelline Weeks.
