Bert Hart - Bert Hart to Clay Center Bert Hart, who was one...
Bert Hart to Clay Center Bert Hart, who was one of the mainstays of the Beloit Leaguers during the 1920 season, left for Clay Center, on Sunday night. He will be employed there in the Oben-iand Oben-iand Oben-iand clothing store. Bert Hart was during the season just ended one of the most valuable and most popular players on the Beloit team. Plaving rings around . any other man who has plaved that position, he was a star at the shortstop station, and in the game all the time. A pitcher of far beyond beyond ordinary merit, he was kept from working his regular turn in the box beause of his great fielding fielding But at that his percentage of games won while pitching was one of which any pitcher could well be proud. And then he shone like a 24 karat diamond ' with the big . stick, and his hard hittii.g helped to win many a game for Beloit. A quiet, clean, gentlemanly fellow fellow both off and on the base ball diamond, true and loyal to the town for which he was playing, Bert Hart made many warm friends and admirers. These sincerely hope that if Beloit has a ball team next year, Bert Hart may be induced to play here, and if not that he may meet with well deserved success, wherever he may be. Beloit Daily Call.
