MT. PLEASANT, Tenn.. Feb. S. (Special.) (Special.) Sidney H. Goodioe died this morning morning at 10:'J0 o'clock, after an illness of oniy.a few days, the cause of his death being pneumonia. He . leaves a widow and one child, a daughter about thirteen thirteen yors old. Ho also leaves two brothers, brothers, Col. Joini Goodioe and Henry Goodioe, Goodioe, both residing 'here, and two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Strother, who lives in Texas, Texas, and Mrs. Martha A. Goodioe, of this place. Sidney H. Goodioe was of one of, the oldest and wealthiest families of this county. - and his circle of relatives extend extend all aver the State. lie wan a brave Confederate soldier, entering the cavalry ln 'Capt. Andrew Polk's company In Col. Bifflc's regiment in 1?62, and serving throughout tho war. He was severely wounded at the battle of Franklin, but after his recovery he rejoined his command command and served valiantly until tlie war's close. 11 A was one of tho officers, and one of tho most .devout members, of the Presbyterian Church hero, and his death will be severely felt by that body of Christians. He was one of the wealthiest men in Maury Counly and was Interested Interested In ninny or the enterprises of Mt. Pleasant. His funeral will take, placo at 2 oVldc-k oVldc-k tomorrow at ' the Presbyterian Presbyterian Church, and will bo conducted by the Rev.
