Mrs. Harriet Glessner Hammond, widow of Ellis Hammond, died Wednesday evening Heasleyf&t 10:20 o'clock at her home near Announcements Union are: here. Dtath resulted from the effects of a broken hip which she suffered ten weeks ago in a fall down the cellar steps at her home. She was aged 83 years and seven months. Mrs. Hammond, a native of West minster, Md., had been a resident of this vicinity since she was six years old, She was a member of the local Methodist Episcopal church since she was a young girl. Her husband pre ceded her in death 15 years ago. tur viving are two daughters, Mrs. S. W. Purvis. Philadelphia, and Miss Jennie Hammond, at home; three grandchildren; grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and three brothers, Attorney James ' G. Glessner, York, and William and Wesley Glessner, Decatur, 111. The funeral will be held Saturday with services at the house at 2 p. m. Rev. Parker Gardner, pastor of the Lewisberry Methodist Episcopal church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Emanuel cemetery, near here. Funeral Director H. R. Erney, this place, has charge of ar rangements. .
