more fervid than the "Captain" de Riviere, who figured larpely in tbe paper last year, i in Charleston, publishing fierce cards tn defence of his honor. Tbe Augusta (Geo.) IHepatck contradicts his statements, and say he was recendy in the town of Aiken under the assumed assumed nsjne of "de Rusty." The Captain had been carrying on a new flirtation with some Boston girls, to whem, when he left the town, he addressed a note, stating that he had been "summoned back to Franca, lo join his regiment," and wouid sffil from New-York New-York New-York by the first steamer. When last heard from, however, he was In Charleston.
