Chris Kraus, retired farmer, died at his home in Venice nt 2 p.m. Thursday aftoi- a Jong illness, ago 75 years and 9 months. For eight years he had lived in Venice, previous to that time beinK Â»ii a farm nearer Hamilton and lo- Â·ated on the River road. His whole life was spent in Butler county. Mr. Krauss had been a member, of Ross IodgÂ«, I. O. O. F., for 48 years. He had been very active in the Venice Presbyterian church for more than 35 jiears. Ho was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him and the entire community mourns wdfeh relatives flt his passing. He is survived by one daughter) Mrs. Carrie Kraus, of Venice; two sons, Charles G. Kraus of R. R. No. 9, Hamilton, and Elmer C. Kraus of Venice, by three grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs 1 ; Emma Wollemveber of Ml. Healthy and 1 Mrs. Anna Kolner of Cincinnati, and one brother, Fred Kraus of Mt. Healthy. Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:30 p.m., standard time. Rev. Real will officiate. Burial will be at Venice cemetery.
