Edwin W. Frohardt, 85, of Newton Newton died of a heart attack Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Serv- Serv- 4 ices will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in I A Cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Frohardt was born in Council Bluffs and moved to Jasper County in 1966, retiring as pastor at First United Methodist Church. He had served previously as a Methodist minister in Alliance, Neb.; Omaha; Morning Sun-Fairyiew; Sun-Fairyiew; Sun-Fairyiew; Moulton; Burlington; In-dianola; In-dianola; In-dianola; Boone and Muscatine. Following Following retirement he served First United Methodist Church in Brooklyn Brooklyn and Newton Congregational United Church of Christ. He was a member of Methodist Men, Newton Noon Kiwanis Club and Jasper County Fine Arts. Surviving are his wife, Myra; a son, Paul of Newton; a daughter, Su-sanne Su-sanne Su-sanne Dodder of Parker, Colo.; and four grandchildren. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Sunday Sunday at Wallace-Pence Wallace-Pence Wallace-Pence Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church's organ and music fund, the Jasper County Historical Society or Jasper County Concert Association, of which he was a member. of 2 ;f
