Among those attending the Concord Association VV.M.U. meeting at Iho Cooklown Bnplist Church, [were: Rev. and Mrs. Danny Blake, Mrs. Homer Best, Mrs. C. A. Warner; Mrs. Louis Best, Mrs. J. The guest speaker, Rev. F. Graham, Southern Baptist missionary, vho was born in Scotland. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hammon were called to Pino Bluff, Ark. to at- end the funeral of his only brother, M. F. Hammon, last Tuesday. The Simsboro Garden Club met n the home of Mrs. L. M. Napper with Mrs. G. D. Madden co-hos- :ess. A beautiful arrangement of ?ink and white mums graced each end of the fireplace in the: living room and another centered the dining room table on a pale green ploth. Red camellias were placed on tables in the den. The president, Mrs. Homer Best, opened the meeting by asking Mrs. Louis Best :o read the club prayer, After roll call and reading of the minutes, the officers for the ensuing year were elected. Pankoy of. Ruston talked to the group about organizing a class to take the Red Cross Nursing Course. The refreshments Were served from the tal$e with Mrs. Danny Blake pouring coffee and Mrs. Harold Napper;served the salad,. toasted pecansv choeso straws and Lizzies to Mrs. L. A. Mullin, Mrs. Louis Best, Mrs. .Sanford Cole, Mrs. A. B. Corbett, Mrs., \V. S. Durrett, Mrs. Grady Carroll, Mrs. Glenn Mullin, Mrs. ; Homor Best, Mrs. Earl Harrist, Mfs.
