Oakland Logger Dies After Blow From Falling Limb Alexander Fugate, Sr., 63, resident of Oakland, Ore., died Sunday at Mercy hospital as the rusult of injuries suffered Saturday when he was struck by a falling limb while working in lodging woods. Born in .Jackson County, Tenn., Nov. 19, 1881. he had been a resident of Oakland for the past three years. Surviving are his wife, Lela Maloney Fugate,, to whom he was married June 21, 1901; two daughters, Mrs. Mary White and Mrs. Golden Huntlev. Onkland: nine sons, Roy Fugate, a resident of Wisconsin; Ben. Harold, Hw-man, Woodrow, Earl, and Alex ander r ugate, an oi uaKland; Lloyd Fuuate. Camo Geiber. Okla., and Edward Fugate, now in the Philippine Islands, both in army service, and three brothers, Ben, Charles and Robert Fugate, all in Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. in. Thursday, conducted by tne iiov. Morris 11. Koacn at the Community church in Oakland. with interment following in the I. O. O. F. cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Stearns mortuary, Oakland.
