Log Events Set Sunday At Sutherlin Fittingly, i logger's daughter was crowned queen of the 15th annual Douglas County Timber Days at Sutherlin Friday night. The new queen is blue-eyed Donna Lee Fugate, an 18-year-oid graduate of Sutherlin High School this spring. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Fugate. After weeks of suspense, the announcement of her selection was made at the Coronation Ball in the American Legion hall Friday night. She was crowned by retiring queen, Carol Tallon of Rose- Durg. Priie Is Wardrobe For her efforts in selling tickets to win the queenship. winsome Don na will receive a $150 wardrobe. The big crowd also received the announcement that Gail Barklow was first princess, and Bonnie Wolff was second princess. Both are from Sutherlin. Princess Gail will receive a $75 wardrobe, and Princess Bonnie will get a $30 wardrobe. The crowning officially launched the 15th annual edition of one of the state's biggest timber Industry celebrations. Action went into full swing today with parades this morning, a pee wee baseball gamo and the truck "roadeo" this afternoon at 3.
