is not John Devanny, Retired, Dies [n Hospital John Devanny, 72, of 20 Pros* pert Street, retired, died early tills morning nt SI. Luke's Hospital where he had been a patient one week, Mr. Devanny, who for many years was head of the drapery department department at England Brothers store, was born in Great Barring- ion, son of Daniel Devanny and Elizabeth Daly Devanny and was educated In the schools of that town. He came to Plttsfleld more than 50 years ago. Mr. Devanny was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and belonged to the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of Rablda Council. Knights of Columbus. A sister, Miss Mary A. Devanny, with whom he made his home, is the lone survivor. The funeral will be Tuesday morning at 9.30 »l the home followed followed at 30 at St. Joseph's Church w i t h a solemn high mass.
